RULES AND REQUIREMENTS FOR 2006 SEASON

By signing below, I acknowledge and understand the following:

 

  • I have read the handbook.
  • I agree to be an active member of the team.
  • I understand and will comply with all safety rules. I will not use tools without proper instruction and supervision.

 

You must fulfill the following requirements to go to competitions.

 

  1. From January to April students must work a minimum of 80 hours, and have attended the Boston Regional competition on 3/24/06, and 3/25/06, to be eligible to attend the National in Atlanta.
  2. Participate in fundraising activities such as Canning, FIRST Lego League Tournament, Bottle & Can Drive or any others.
  3. Maintain academics and social standards equal to the Quincy Public Schools athletic regulations.
  4. Students must pass a minimum of 4 major subjects and have a clean disciplinary record.  (Robotics is not an excuse do poorly in school. Schoolwork comes first. Take advantage of having teachers around all the time. Use the downtime wisely.)
  5. Behavior at all events will be according to the Quincy public schools student handbook. Failure to comply will result in (1) Dismissal from the team (2) Lead to school administered disciplinary action.
  6. Have fun.

 

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH #3, #4, #5, ABOVE, WILL RESULT IN:

DISMISSAL FROM THE TEAM.

FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH #5, ABOVE, MAY ALSO RESULT IN:

THE POSSIBILITY OF SCHOOL ADMINISTERED DICIPLANARY ACTION.

 

Changes to the above regulations or requirements will be handled on an individual basis by Coordinators Mr. Mauriello, Mr. Long or Mr. Quintiliani and approved by the Director of Occupational Education, Mrs. Emily Lebo
